Big Basin Redwoods State Park

The day before we left California, we went to Big Basin Redwoods State Park. These trees are the biggest I've seen in my whole life! Redwoods can live 1,000 to 2,000 years! When Columbus landed in America, some Redwoods were already over 900 years old. Crazy! These pictures don't really do the size of the trees justice, but they're still fun...

The only way to the park was to drive on a VERY windy road for miles and miles and miles. Fortunately for me, I slept the whole way there. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep on the way back! Here I am stripped down after getting a little sick on myself! But I'm still smiling!!!

Fun at Half Moon Bay Beach, CA

Even though our time in California was short-lived, we did squeeze in a fantastic day at Half Moon Bay! Usually it can be quite cold at the beach, but we lucked out. The weather was beautiful!!!

Mommy's friend from high school, Aunt Rachel, joined us. (She lives in the coolest apartment in downtown San Francisco!) Aunt Rachel brought her camera and captured our perfect day at the beach!

Even Thunder loved the beach! Here he is taking a rest, but most of the time he was either running around in the sand or burying his nose in it!

Visit from Grandpa & Grandma!

Turning 3 was a blast, but nothing beats spending time with Grandpa & Grandma! They drove from Indiana to visit me for my birthday, and they showered me with love (and new toys) the whole time!

Here we are playing ball. I'm pretty good for a beginner!

The weather was great! Much of our time at home was spent outside either in the backyard or on the back porch.

We had to take time out to rest too. I LOVED having Grandma read to me and lay down with me!

We took a fun train ride into the hill country!

Even Thunder got to come!

I have the best Grandpa & Grandma ever! Thanks for coming to visit me!

Turning THREE!!!

I just turned 3. Now that I can read, write, and type, I can have my own blog! YEAH!!! Now, where should I start?! I guess I should start with my birthday since it was just a few weeks ago.

Three candles graced the top of my Diego cake!

My wishes always include something about horses or monster trucks!
Many friends came to my party at the playground near my house. The bubble machine was one of the highlights!
My Grandpa made this sign for me so that I will remember how old I am!

I had so much fun that I wish it could be my birthday every day! Or, at the very least, I wish I could eat CAKE every day!
